Grace is what qualifies us for service. We don’t serve God by our strength or our abilities, but by the grace that is given to us. Grace is not just the unmerited favor of God, it is also the supernatural empowerment that comes from God to do what we cannot do on our own. Without grace, we cannot fulfill the purposes of God in our lives.
But grace is not a license to sin or to live according to our own desires. Grace empowers us to live a holy and righteous life, to walk in obedience to God’s commands, and to serve Him with all of our hearts. Grace is not a cheap thing, it cost God everything to give us this gift. We must value it and use it wisely.
